About Us

MBW is an independent, rider owned and operated, bike shop, which was started in Moycullen, Co Galway by Garry Davoren and Eric Pierson in November 2009.  We like bikes and importantly we all ride bikes – across all disciplines from road bikes to mountain bikes to BMX!

We pride ourselves on our keen interest in your cycling needs and in our ability to offer you a tailored, friendly service. We offer a large range of bikes, from buying your first wheels all the way to specialist machines. No matter what bike we sell, our number one goal is to get you on a bike that is comfortable, sized correctly, and performs well. We have something to suit everyone and are stockists of many of the top brand road and mountain bikes including Kona, , Specialized, Transition, Intense,, Surly, Borealis, Nextie and Dawes. We can help you organise the purchase of your new wheels on the bike-to-work scheme. We service and repair all brands of bikes and offer a wheel building service.

We also sell a huge range of accessories, clothing and spares  for all your cycling needs from brands such as Endura, Limar, Topeak, Bluegrass, Sram, Shimano, Easton, Juice Lubes, Marzocchi and many others.  Regular servicing and all your repair needs can be handled in our professionally equipped workshop.  We are an authorised RockShox service centre in Ireland, as well as being an authorised Fox dealer.  In addition to our in-house workshops, we have a mobile workshop (the big orange van) which is always a welcome presence on the race scene.

We also have for sale BMX bikes from companies such as Haro, Premium, United, Social and we even have in stock a few of the heavily coveted Failure Maniac, sold out across Ireland.

The shop is now in the Moycullen Business Park just above  Unit 6 and its already famous indoor skatepark.  The pumptrack is just a few meters away and the local mountain bike trails (Killarainey Woods) are only 2 minutes away.  Don’t hesitate to come in and try out a demo bike, be it road bike, mountain-bike, bmx … (or call in and ask us about some of the locals’ trails and cycle routes).
